Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 titles have been earned on hardcourt

A revitalized Daniil Medvedev secured his initial title for over two years with success over opponent Moutet in the tournament championship match.

The Russian, a ex- world number one, has endured a difficult season, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a difficult moment at the American major.

His unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his service game in especial - led to him exiting of the top ten and ultimately separating with long-time coach Cervara.

Now working with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has consistently advanced in the past month - climaxing in a hard-fought competitive triumph over opponent Moutet.

It is his first championship after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface from spring of that year.

The win also means Medvedev has won 21 victories at 21 various events.

"For the first time I am participating in a tournament with my children together, so to secure a trophy is really nice," stated tennis professional Daniil Medvedev.

"This victory is in dedication of my child my daughter, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter my daughter was born was for her."

The athlete, the past champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in that event previously this season.

The player's defensive approach and regular reactions on court had caused commentators to wonder if his skill to perform at the highest level was over.

However the player has implemented adjustments in the past month, making an effort to approach the net and perform aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.

He came back from a deficit in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning four of the final five points to take the lead.

The competitors traded breaks in the following set before the challenger, bidding for his maiden tour championship, gained dominance to push for a decider.

He defended 4 initial break points in a tight third set before the champion won the break to 15 to serve for the match.

Appropriately, he clinched the title with a rally at the front of the court, with Moutet unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
