Despite entering their maiden European campaign, Oliver Glasner's side are adapting very quickly. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a comfortable win that all but guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their upcoming fixture against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, especially after a previous stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Grasp the Opportunity
This match provided a platform for several Palace's fringe talent to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in succession.
The Shelbourne side that had concluded their league season proved no match even for a largely second-string Palace lineup. The Londoners were already depleted by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are out with leg problems.

The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to extend the lead to 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for development in his game.
A solitary worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
